New Delhi:(Page3 News Network)-Both the Houses of Parliament witnessed frequent adjournments today, the Lok Sabha on the issue of Walmart and the Rajya Sabha on Reservation in promotions for SCs and STs.The Lok Sabha was adjourned thrice before adjourning finally for the day with the opposition members demanding an inquiry followed by a thorough discussion on Walmart issue. They demanded the government to set up a time-bound inquiry into the allegations of bribery against the retail major. Raising slogans, the opposition members trooped into the well of the house forcing the Chair to adjourn it for the day.
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned finally for the day as Samajwadi Party members continued to stall the proceedings protesting against the reservations in promotions for SCs STs. It was earlier adjourned twice on the same issue in the post-lunch session. The agitating members trooped into the well as the Minister of State for Personnel, V Narayanasami, moved the Constitution amendment bill. Amidst din, Deputy Chairman P J Kurien adjourned the house for the day.
