Dehradun:(Page3 News Network)- 9th National Ice Skating Championship took place at Shimla, Himanchal Pradesh which started on 3rd January, 2013. The Ice Skating Association of Uttarakhand had prepared itself for this competition.
The Ice Skating Association of Uttarakhand has the patronage of Olympic association of Uttarakhand and is also a unit of The Ice Skating Association of India, which is affiliated/recognised by International Skating Union and Olympic Association of India.
The Ice Skating Association of Uttarakhand team participated with 7 members along with coach, manager and the President in the 9th National Ice Skating Championship.
Coach Shri Prayank Sharma of Ice Skating Association of Uttarakhand said that all Ice Skating players have shown tremendous improvement and the team of Ice Skating Association of Uttarakhand did well.
Results:
1. The International Ice Skater from Uttarakhand Miss Nishtha Painuli was awarded with one Bronze and one silver in the Competition.
2. Master Snehsheh Tiwari won a bronze in Sub-Junior in the Competition.
On the occasion of the 9th National Ice Skating Championship the International Players Master Shrey Painuli and Nishtha Painuli, who have won Medals at Asian Ice Skating Figure Challenges who brought laurel to the state at national and International level are confident that the Ice Skating Players of Uttarakhand will certainly get chance to show their talent at International Competitions also.
On this occasion the Secretary- Sports Uttarakhand Shri Ajay Pratyot also congratulated the players on phone.
