During the last three years and current year, two cases of seeking
admission in MBBS course, under 15% All India Quota for the year
2010-11, on production of fake caste certificates in medical college in
Jaipur, Rajasthan and Ahmadabad, Gujarat have come to the notice of the
Government.
However, no such cases have been reported to Dental Council of India.
The complaints received in respect of medical colleges have been referred to concerned colleges/State Government/Medical Council of India (MCI) for taking appropriate action.
As per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, every state has an admission/fee structure committee for monitoring of fee structure and ensuing fair and transparent admission process.
This information was given by Minister for Health & Family Welfare Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
