Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna today reviewed the
preparations being done for the Nanda Devi Raj Jaat Yatra in far –off Lohjang
area in Chamoli district. He said Rs.90 crore had been approved for the Nanda
Devi Raj Jaat. He gave instructions that
facilities like roads and drinking water be provided for the yatra. If
government land was not available in some areas, private land should be rented
for parking.
The chief minister and tourism minister Amrita Rawat made an
aerial survey of the region (Bedni and Ban) .The tourism minister said work
should be carried on with dedication. Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar said that a
lot of work was in progress. Commissioner and Dms must make a weekly review of
the work. Principal Secretary Rakesh Sharma said that support from ITBP would be taken to create
routes in remote areas.Commissioner Garhwal Suvardhan gave detailed information
to the CM about the work being done.
