Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar
today reviewed the Tourism Department and said that a single window system
would be set up to attract more investment in the tourism sector in the state.
A Committee of Secretaries
concerned will be constituted for this.
By June, Uttarakhand Tourism Corporation
will be created . A Board for GMVN and KMVN would also be set up.
An investors’ meet will be organised in
August in Delhi by the Tourism, Power and Industries Departments.
The CS directed that guest houses,
toilets and other facilities on the
yatra routes should be improved .He said he would carry out surprise
inspections and strict action would be taken if things were not up to the mark.
Reviewing the “Nirmal Gangotri” Project,
He said it should not be delayed further . He said that in the first week of June, the foundation for
all constructions should be laid.
Eco huts , lodges and a hall have to be made in Harsil. A helidrome,kiosks
and road widening works have to be undertaken.
