Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar today asked
all Principal Secretaries and secretaries to release Rs.500 to Rs.600 Crore in
the first two months of the financial year. From next month, the released
amount should be spent.
He said by February 2014, the entire funds should be
utilized. In March, no department should have any funds left. Unspent
While reviewing the annual plan of 2012-13 ,he found that no
fund had been released or spent in the first two months of the financial year
.He said that in May, as much money as possible should be released.
He said that by making
special efforts, they should spend proportionately and ensure quality work.
He said that he expected that this
financial year, things would be different than the last financial year.
