“I strongly condemn the attack in Chhattisgarh last night which killed many innocent people and injured several others. I am deeply shocked and my heartiest sympathies are with the families of those who have lost their lives. I wish a very speedy recovery to all those injured. There is no place in civilized societies for such senseless and barbaric acts. This attack aimed at scaring Congress will unite and strengthen it in fight against all forms of extremism and violence.
I appeal to the attackers for the safe release of all those abducted at the earliest.”
