Army launches helpline for ex-servicemen


New Delhi:(Newsonair)-In an endeavor to reach out to ex-servicemen, the Army's Central command has launched a 24x7 helpline for all retired personnel from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Chhattishgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand.
AIR correspondent reports that the helpline was inaugurated by the Chief of Central Command, Lt. Gen. Anil Chait on Saturday.
It has two toll free numbers 1800-180-5666 and 1800-180-5444 on which ex-servicemen can call and inquire about welfare schemes and pensions, among others, and also register their grievances and complaints.
