Tinsukia.:(Page3 News Network)-In Assam, the Director of a tea estate and his wife were burnt to death last night by a group of labourers. State Home Secretary GD Tripathi said the victims have been identified as Mridul Kumar Bhattacharya and his wife. Bhattacharya was the Director of the Kunapathar Tea Estate under Bordumsa Police station. Miscreants also set ablaze two houses including the bungalow of the manager. Mr.Tripathi said, a magisterial inquiry has been ordered by the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia. The situation is tense but under control. Sufficient security forces have been deployed and district administration is closely monitoring the situation. The IGP (Law and Order) is also going to the spot to take stock of the situation.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari said time limits were set for everyone and there is no need to take personal umbrage over it.
