90 per cent of Kishau Dam Project’s cost to be borne by centre

     It was decided Monday at a meeting in New Delhi that 90 per cent of the cost of Kishau Dam project would be borne by the central government . Uttarkhand will get central help to make the DPR for the project in a joint venture with Himachal Pradesh government.

            The meeting was held by the Water Resources Ministry with officials of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

   The central government will give special assistance  of Rs.200 crore every year to Uttarakhand .


          Uttarakhand’s FRDC B.P.Pandey, UJVNL MD G.P.Patel and officials of Himachal Pradesh were present at the meeting.
