Chief minister
Vijay Bahuguna today reviewed various development works in Purola and Badkot in Rawain valley. He held a Janta
Milan programme and heard peoples’ problems, solving several on the spot.He
directed officials to solve problems at the government level.Five hundred
applications were received most of which concerened financial assistance,
health facilities, roads , education, potable water and electricity.
At
Purola Tehsil ,he announced that a college would be set up at Mori and a
Polytechnic at Purola .
He gave Gaura
Devi Kanya Dhan NSC certificates to 12 girl students and Balika Shiksha
Protsahan (FDs) of Rs.8 lakh ,63000,550 to 21 girl students.
Each girl received
an FD of Rs.2850.In Purola and Mori, 606 girls will be covered by this scheme.
At the Badkot
Panchayat Hall, he held a meeting with district level officials and reviewed
PMGSY .He found that there were many roads which had not been completed .He
found that the executive engineer R.P.Singh had no substantial reply to this. The engineer was suspended with
immediate effect. The CM said he would remain suspended till he could give a
proper explanation.
He also directed officials to
hold a meeting with forest department
officials to get clearance for roads to be built through forest land.
While reviewing jal Sansthan, Peyjal Nigam, he was told that
water was not available on the yatra
routes at Damta, Nowgaon and Badkot.The CM said that pilgrims to Yamunotri
should be given all possible facilities.
Labour minister Harishchandra
Durgapal gave information about the
work’s progress in the district.
A Janta Milan
was also held at Badkot..He said peoples’ problems should be solved .He gave
Gaura Devi Kanyadhan and Balika Shiksha Protsahan scheme FDs to girl students.
263 complaints and
applications were registered .
