Chief minister
Vijay Bahuguna said here today ,on the
occasion of Hindi journalism day, that Hindi journalism had made significant
contribution to Indian democracy.
In his message ,
he said as the fourth pillar of democracy ,journalism had played an important
role in the economic , social, cultural and other spheres.
He said that
Hindi journalism had not stayed behind
in the era of globalization and IT.He said Hindi journalism had an important
history in Uttarakhand region. Journalists from here had created
mass awareness through their writing during the freedom struggle as well
as the Uttarakhand movement.
Wishing
journalists on the occasion, he said while it was the responsibility of
journalists to write about problems faced by society, they should also make
sure that their credibility is maintained.
