Chief Secretary Subhash
Kumar Tuesday reviewed the Urban Development department and instructed
officials that a special cleanliness campaign be launched in cities.
Posters and writing from
walls should be removed and so should illegal hoardings. He said the energy
saving model should be used for street lights.
He said the process of
approving plans by Housing Development Authorities should be made online by
June 15.
He said the proposed land acquisition policy
should be given final shape by July 31 and expanding the boundaries of cities
should also be done by July 31.
Secretary (Urban Development
and Housing) M.H.Khan said that soon, approval will be given by the Central Road
and Transport Ministry for laying sewer lines on 900 metres of the national
highway.
He said the CM had also
written to the Ministry about this.
Khan said areas were being
identified to regularize the illegal colonies. He said solid waste management
was being done in 47 municipal areas.He said within 15 days ,the list of
executive officers and aaccountants would be given by the Public Service Commission
and by July ,selection of other personnel will be done.
He said three new urban
local body areas and 7 new nagar panchayats had been created.

at the meeting were VC of MDDA R.M.Sundaram, additional secretary (PWD) Amit
Negi and MNA Dehradun Ashok Kumar.
