A meeting of the empowered committee
of finance ministers of all states will be held in a hotel in Mussoorie on May
10 and 11.
Chief Ministers holding
finance portfolio, Finance ministers, central finance minister’s advisor and
Revenue Secretary (Government of India) will participate in the meet.
Chief Minister Vijay
Bahuguna will host a lunch for all Finance Ministers, Finance Secretaries and
members of the empowered committee tomorrow.
Giving this information, Finance
Secretary D.S.Garbyal said that among the subjects that will be discussed will
be problems of dual control, goods and services tax network, status of VAT and
non-VAT revenue and assessment of VAT rates.
